1.The Rear washer jet just pushed into the metal collar on the wiper arm shaft. 
2.The edges of the collar are metal if your jet has been snapped off it will still have some of the old washer jet inside the collar, remove this before attempting to fit the washer jet, there should be no resistance when inserting the new washer jet.
